The History of Beijing Glass
Beijing glass, also known as Peking glass, is a traditional Chinese art form that flourished during the Qing dynasty, particularly under imperial patronage in the 18th and 19th centuries. Developed in the Imperial Glass Workshop in Beijing, this technique involved layering and carving colored glass to mimic the depth and elegance of jade and other hardstones.
